Spain will advance to the Round of 16

This will happen. Honduras and Chile don't have as good defense as Switzerland despite their low-scoring game today. I have futures on Spain and I'm still very confident that they will get it done and advance to the Round of 16. Anyone who saw the game today knows Spain was the better team. Sometimes luck is a factor. I also have Argentina and Portugal in the futures. Obviously, I don't want Spain and Portugal to play each other in the Round of 16 so Spain's loss could actually help me if they finsih 2nd in their group. I want Spain to play Brazil. First, they have to get there though. Call me crazy, but a team that has lost only a few times in 50 games gives me alot of confidence and they should be able to beat anyone, including Brazil and Germany. ESPN is stupid with their stats, saying no team has won a World Cup that lost their opening game. This is the same ESPN that was saying Switzerland has never beaten Spain in their history, something like 0 for 15. I love how hypocritical ESPN is with their stupid stats. In my opinion, stupid stats deserve a correction or regression to the mean and that applies here.

LET"S GO SPAIN, PORTUGAL, and ARGENTINA to win it all. Hey if Spain doesn't do it then at least I have Argentina and Portugal to do it. However, if Spain chokes again and you want to come in this thread and say "I told you so" then that is fine. No biggie. I like to build hype for games (after I bet, never before) just to increase the action. Best of luck to everyone. There is still alot of World Cup left. Keep your head up!!! Don't let a few losses get you down.

Love Argentina and Spain to win it all (although they cost me too much money today). Portugal will choke very early. They don't play good as a team and the individualism of Ronaldo is not enough to compensate for the crappy game his team plays.

I don't think Portugal is going anywhere, Argentina not far, but i fully expect Spain
to win their next two games, probably top the group and go deep in this tourney.

They have to win their next two games, and hope that the Swiss don't get to 7 points. Cause if that happens, Spain will be ousted in the round of 16 by Brazil.

Do you guys think Switzerland will have trouble with Chile or Honduras? I got Spain to win the Group, but I feel if Chile can beat Switz, and Spain win the next 2 handily...they will end up winning. Only thing is how do you think Switz will be against Chile/Honduras?

Chile should be Swtizerland. Switzerland should beat Honduras. Honduras is one of the worst teams in the tournamnet.

I don't see the Swiss getting 7.

Spain will beat Honduras by 5 goals and Chile by 2.

Brazil looked weak in their first game vs a poor team, and they'd only play Spain if they
are first in their group and Spain second, or second and Spain first.

The Swiss will beat Honduras and tie IMO with Chile. Which will get them 7 points.

I am hoping Chile/Swiss doesn't end in a tie so then Spain can tie the other at 6 points and hopefully win the GD...if Chile/Swiss get to a tie, then I think its a wrap for Spain to get that 1st in Group unless Honduras pulls off the upset...

who knows what the Swiss will due, they play ultra-conservative and defensive, maybe they will open it up instead of playing not to lose which is why they have that streak of 500 minutes or whatever it is without giving up a goal

they play for ties because they are Swiss, these are the same Swiss that were always neutral in major world wars LOL so its not that much of a surprise they play like that

I don't see how Honduras will tie the Swiss. Honduras is one of the worst teams in the WC, and will play an open game with the Swiss. Chile isn't as good as they looked. It's just Honduras sucks.

Nice recovery for Spain as they come back with Back-to-Back wins to reach the Sweet 16 and quiet the critics for now who turned on them after their loss to Switzerland.
